Nicole Barillaro focusses her practice on areas such as Business Law, Estate Planning, Probate Law, and Elder Law. She holds the license to practice law in the states of New York and Connecticut since 2014 and 2016 respectively. She serves as an attorney with the law firm Gambardella, Cipriano, Gottlieb & Hathaway, PC in Hamden, CT.
She is an active member of professional associations such as the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Connecticut Bar Association, and U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce. She also holds a certification for Article 81 Guardian.
She has served as a Committee Member of the Legal Problems of the Aging at the New York City Bar Association from June 2013 to July 2017.
She is passionate about volunteers in her community for issues affecting children, youth and women, and has served on the Board of Directors for the Women & Families Center of Connecticut and the Meriden Children First Initiative. She is also a pro bono attorney for Veterans Education Success.
Before joining her current law firm, she worked as an associate attorney with the law firm Wiley Etter, LLC. She assisted women-owned businesses in growing and thriving during that time.
Before this law firm, she served as an Of Counsel with the Law Offices of Christopher Carrozzella in Wallingford, CT and focussed on bankruptcies, zoning law, and real estate law.
Attorney Barillaro also explored her political interests by accepting an opportunity to manage a campaign for a sixth-term State Legislator seeking re-election. As a campaign manager, she focused on the grass root issues while building a robust campaign, and ultimately secured a seventh term for her candidate.
After obtaining her law degree and passing the bar exam, she joined the New York office of Beachwold Residential, a boutique Real Estate Investment and Management firm has more than 40 properties and over 12,000 multi-family units in Connecticut, Texas, Florida, New Jersey, Maryland, Tennessee, and Virginia.
She gained immense experience in real estate law while handling a wide range of transactions and legal processes there.
She has obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence from New York Law School in the year 2013 with a concentration on Investment Funds and Wealth Management. She joined the Center for Real Estate Studies in her law school as an associate.
From 2010 to 2013, she attended law school at night and worked as a Compliance Manager and Legal Analyst with the New York office of a Shariah-compliant investment fund having its headquarters in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Before studying law, she began her career in New York working in the Private Wealth Management industry from 2006 to 2009. She handled responsibilities such as researching and advising her clients on tax-efficient investment structures, SEC compliance, and legal issues relative to the marketing of investment products.
Nicole J. Barillaro obtained her Bachelor’s of Arts in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs from the Quinnipiac University in the year 2006. She was a member of Lambda Pi Eta – National Communication Association Honor Society while studying there.
