Nicole D. Boutros represents and advises clients on a range of state and local tax matters across the United States, including income, franchise, sales and use, and excise tax matters. Nicole’s experience includes representing clients in various industries in state and local tax controversies throughout the United States.
Nicole’s controversy work ranges from audit defense to state tax litigation and appeals in state courts and tax tribunals. In addition to her controversy work, Nicole advises clients on complex state tax issues.
Nicole’s consulting work includes advising clients regarding income/franchise nexus, taxability, apportionment, and combination, as well as sales and use tax nexus and taxability.
While Nicole advises clients on issues throughout the United States, Nicole has particular experience in helping clients navigate New York State, New York City, and New Jersey tax matters.
Understanding the complexities of and having experience in the laws in these jurisdictions, Nicole is able to counsel clients on existing and emerging tax issues affecting their businesses and industries.
