
Nicole Callan is a senior associate who focuses on antitrust and competition matters, including merger clearance, civil litigation and criminal investigations. Ms. Callan has assisted clients in obtaining merger clearance from the Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission and the European Commission.
She also has experience representing clients in civil litigation matters involving state and federal antitrust law claims. Her clients include companies in the energy, entertainment, telecommunications, maritime, aviation, automotive and financial services industries.
Ms. Callan maintains an active pro bono practice, including asylum and veterans’ rights actions. While pursuing her legal education, Ms. Callan served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Beryl A. Howell of the US District Court for the District of Columbia.
Prior to entering law school, Ms. Callan served as a special assistant at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and as an assistant to Chair Elizabeth Warren at the Congressional Oversight Panel for the Troubled Asset Relief Program. She also interned in the office of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Ms. Callan serves on the community leadership council for Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic and as a member of the Junior League of Washington. In 2017, Ms. Callan served as a co-chair of the Generous Associates Campaign for the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia.
Ms. Callan is a vice chair of the Civil Practice and Procedure Committee of the American Bar Association (ABA)’s Section of Antitrust Law. She also serves as a co-editor of Public Domain, a quarterly newsletter distributed by the Intellectual Property Committee of the ABA’s Antitrust Section.
