Do not hire!
We hired The Christie Law firm for a case involving our daughter. We were very disappointed with the representation we received from this firm. There was very little interaction between my daughter and Attorney Christie. In fact, most questions to/from Attorney Christie occurred via the legal assistant. Given that my daughter was so young, we asked to speak with Attorney Christie, alongside her but Attorney Christie would not allow that. She would not allow my daughter to sign a waiver so that we can be present. Approximately two hours before the DCF Interview, the case was handed off to a different attorney who appeared to have some loose affiliation with the firm and who had limited to no knowledge of the case. My daughter needed to bring this attorney up to speed on the phone while literally driving to the interview, 15 minutes prior to walking into the interview. Sadly, the attorney remained almost entirely silent and uninterested during the interview, aside from one small comment she made. Ultimately this led to my daughter’s case being substantiated. This should have never happened because DCF did not have ANY supporting evidence to support their claim. Better arguments would have been made from a first-year law student. This company is a fraud. They just want your money. Do not waste your time and money with this firm. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money on a better attorney, which is what we did. Thankfully, a more respectable firm was able to reverse my daughters’ case (no thanks for the Christie Law Firm).
