
Nikki J. Hasselbarth is an associate in Venable’s Nonprofit Organizations and Tax and Wealth Planning Practice Groups. She focuses her practice on advising both nonprofit and for-profit clients on a variety of charitable fundraising matters, including commercial co-venture campaigns and charitable solicitation regulation compliance, and frequently advises nonprofit organizations on contractual, corporate governance, and general corporate matters.
Nikki frequently works with tax-exempt organizations, such as public charities and private foundations, on a variety of tax and planning matters, including the formation of new tax-exempt organizations and the termination of private foundation status, and assists high-net-worth individuals with charitable giving and estate and business succession planning.
The Daily Record, the newspaper serving Baltimore’s business and legal communities, honored Nikki in 2016 with its “20 in Their Twenties” award. The award recognizes individuals based on professional accomplishment, civic involvement, and impact of achievement, and celebrates the best and brightest under 30 whose creativity and spirit are contributing to a new energy in Maryland.

Prior to law school, Nikki served as a Teach For America corps member in Houston, Texas, where she taught third and fourth grades.
