Niyala Harrison is an associate in the Miami office where she focuses her practice on public finance matters, representing cities, counties, state agencies and 501(c)(3) charitable organizations on tax-exempt financings.
Niyala earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Miami in 2012, where she was named a Dean’s Scholar and an Outstanding Public Interest Scholar. While attending law school, she served as a judicial intern for the Honorable A.J. Cristol in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Prior to joining Squire Patton Boggs, Niyala was an associate in a boutique white-collar defense firm, representing clients involved in federal investigations facing enforcement actions by the Department of Justice and Securities and Exchange Commission.
Before practicing law, Niyala worked for more than two years as a City Planner for a municipality in Broward County, guiding the growth and development of the city.
