Nora S. Tauke Schweighart loves to save jobs and money and finds that clients like that, too. Companies that are exposed to financial distress, internally or externally, turn to Nora to help them navigate tricky financial situations.
Nora’s clients include companies facing financial distress that may need to consider a bankruptcy filing or other mechanism for restructuring, secured and unsecured creditors of financially troubled debtors, landlords with financially troubled tenants, and companies seeking to purchase assets from distressed companies.
Oftentimes, Nora’s work requires her to build consensus among parties with competing interests, and she creates value by identifying and executing efficient, consensus-based solutions whenever possible.
Before joining Faegre Baker Daniels, Nora was a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Chicago. After earning her law degree, she started her legal career in Chicago with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.
When she is not hard at work solving problems for her clients, you are likely to find Nora building something in the company of her family. Whether it’s a real estate project, a 3-D printed car for her son, or a pot roast, Nora loves to use her spare time to make things that she can share with others.
