Norma Angelica Freeland is a corporate associate and a member of the Investment Management Group. Her practice focuses on advising sponsors of private investment funds, co-investment vehicles and separately managed accounts, covering numerous sectors and strategies, including infrastructure and buyout. Ms. Freeland’s recent experience includes acting for clients such as Glendon Capital Management, Global Infrastructure Partners, International Finance Corporation and Kelso & Company.
Ms. Freeland also focuses on providing regulatory and compliance advice related to the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Investment Company Act of 1940.
Ms. Freeland joined Debevoise in 2016. She received a J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2016, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. She received a B.A. with departmental honors from Princeton University in 2011. Ms. Freeland previously worked at Goldman Sachs & Co. Ms. Freeland is fluent in Spanish.
