Norman Morales worked as an R&D and product development engineer before launching his legal career. This engineering background and experience strongly influences – and enhances – his ability to work shoulder-to-shoulder with inventors to extract the full scope of their innovations.
Norman’s technical and industry specialty is in the area of medical instruments, implants and medical device manufacturing methods. His broader experience encompasses the fields of semiconductor processing, printer consumables, waste recycling, and mobile apps.
Norman’s work extends far beyond patent applications and prosecution. He also puts his knowledge and experience to work in advising clients on patent validity and infringement, freedom-to-operate, due diligence and patent infringement litigation.
Norman also advises clients on filing strategies for US and overseas markets, and as part of his client services in that area works with clients in prosecuting their US and foreign inventions from application to patent grant.
During law school, Norman externed for The Honorable Jeremy Fogel of the US District Court for the Northern District of California (now Director of the Federal Judicial Center).
