Parnian Vafaeenia is an associate in the San Francisco office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP, and a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment Department. Her practice is focused on employment litigation, with a particular emphasis on wage and hour class and collective action claims involving meal break, rest break, misclassification, overtime, and work-off-the-clock allegations.
She also defends employers against single-plaintiff claims for discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Ms. Vafaeenia has worked with employers in various industries, including health care, food service, and hospitality. In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Vafaeenia also provides counseling to employers concerning predictive scheduling laws.
Prior to working for Seyfarth Shaw, Ms. Vafaeenia received her J.D. from the UC Davis School of Law in 2017 and her B.A. from UC Davis. During law school, Ms. Vafaeenia was a Projects Editor of the UC Davis Law Review, and received Witkin Awards for Academic Excellence in Employment Discrimination, Evidence, Alternative Dispute Resolutions, and Trusts, Wills, and Estates.
