Patricia Acosta advises clients on all aspects of media, technology and information law. She worked for a decade in the Media & First Amendment Law group of an international law firm and clerked for two years for a federal judge.
She is proud to have been a part of strong legal teams that represented media companies, publishers, innovators, and provocateurs on a wide range of high profile cases involving privacy laws, consumer protection statutes, advertisement regulations and the First Amendment.
An avid litigator, Patricia has represented multinational clients in sophisticated multi-million dollar civil claims and class actions from inception, trial and appeals. She has handled international arbitrations in English and Spanish.
Patricia is an adjunct professor of Media and Modern Mass Communications Policy at NSU Shepard Broad College of Law. She led the Media & Communications Law committee of the Florida Bar for two consecutive terms, and has been ranked as a “Legal Elite” and a “Super Lawyer” in the areas of litigation and media law. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM).
