
Patrick Rideout represents a broad spectrum of U.S. and international clients in a wide variety of complex corporate, commercial and securities disputes in federal and state courts, as well as arbitration and expert proceedings.
Mr. Rideout has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a broad array of matters, including claims for breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and tortious interference, as well as violations of civil RICO, New York’s General Business Law and other statutes.
In addition, Mr. Rideout has extensive experience handling post-closing purchase price adjustment disputes in litigation and proceedings before independent accounting experts.
Mr. Rideout routinely represents clients in arbitration proceedings and has a breadth of experience in all phases of arbitration, including full evidentiary hearings, successful dispositive motions and successful disqualification motions, as well as proceedings in state and federal trial and appellate courts to compel or enjoin arbitrations and to enforce orders of arbitral tribunals.
Mr. Rideout is a member of the firm’s Summer Associate Committee and co-head of the Summer Associate Litigation Training Program. He is also heavily involved in the firm’s recruiting efforts.
Since 2009, Mr. Rideout has been the Website Subcommittee Chair for the Securities Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association, Section of Litigation.
