Patrick Flinn is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Group. He focuses his practice on the trial of technology-based disputes with an emphasis on patent litigation. In addition, he has more than 20 years’ experience in arguing Federal Circuit appeals. He has also argued multiple appeals in the Ninth Circuit and in state courts of appeals.
Mr. Flinn has led trial teams in disputes raising a variety of technical disciplines, including telecommunications, cryptography, optics, fluid mechanics and software. He has tried numerous cases in the International Trade Commission (ITC), as well as various districts courts in the United States.
He has led trial patent litigation teams in the Central, Southern and Northern Districts of California, the District of Delaware, the Southern District of New York, the Western District of Wisconsin, the Western District of Pennsylvania and the Eastern District of Texas, as well as other jurisdictions. He has also coordinated multi-national patent litigation efforts in the United States, Europe and Asia.
