Patrick A. Jackson represents companies during pre-bankruptcy contingency planning, as chapter 11 debtors in possession, and in related litigation in federal and state courts. He also represents other parties in interest in chapter 11 and other insolvency proceedings, including post-confirmation trusts, assignees for the benefit of creditors, secured lenders and other creditors, equity holders, and asset purchasers.
Patrick takes a holistic approach to client service, and prefers to be involved at every stage of the representation, from counseling and strategic planning, to deal negotiation and legal drafting, to motion practice and litigation.
He is particularly adept at handling complex or nuanced legal issues, and has been a “go to” resource on important and novel matters for clients, co-counsel, and colleagues alike over the course of his career.
Outside of the courtroom, Patrick is a regular contributor to legal periodicals such as the ABI Journal. From 2005 to 2006 Patrick served as a law clerk to the Honorable Mary F. Walrath, then Chief Judge, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
