Paul Kitziger is a business lawyer who helps clients with commercial and industrial real estate and sophisticated financing transactions. Additionally, Paul advises clients on business entity structuring and formation. His clients often come from the construction, financial and energy sectors – local, national and international.
Paul was a business owner, including a real estate holding company, prior to joining Liskow & Lewis. “Running my own businesses in the past enables me to effectively focus on critical path items and key issues from the client’s point of view,” he explains. “I help clients work through the decision-making process and get things done, especially when time is of the essence.”
Paul’s experience with the Deepwater Horizon oil spill is a good example of why clients appreciate his ability to sort through complex issues and to execute.
As Louisiana real estate counsel in response to the 2010 incident, he helped guide the client in arranging access to the response area, in providing housing for and feeding thousands of workers and volunteers, in leasing private property in support of clean-up efforts, such as storing and staging clean-up materials and in many other post-spill needs.
In this and other matters, Paul’s strength as a communicator and focus on client service has been a big plus to business clients. These include clients in the development and construction process, for whom the negotiation and documentation of design, construction and construction management agreements must meet unforgiving project development schedules.
Paul has represented several professional athletes in various business and investment matters. In addition, his business law clients seek his help with corporate governance advice and the creation, acquisition and sale of small to medium-sized business entities and assets in a variety of industries, such as real estate, construction and oil and gas.
He also has experience in the health care industry with the creation of federally-qualified health care centers and in representing clients in the negotiation and documentation of physician employment agreements.
