Paul K. Lavelle was born in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1966. Mr. Lavelle is a graduate of the University of Alabama and of Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. He was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1992 and the Tennessee State Bar in 2007.
He is licensed to practice before all state courts in Alabama and Tennessee, the United States District Courts in Alabama, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Tennessee, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Mr. Lavelle is a member of the Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section of the Alabama State Bar. He is active in the Birmingham Bar Association, is a member of the Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section of the Birmingham Bar Association and has served on the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee.
Mr. Lavelle has lectured at continuing legal education seminars on creditor’s rights and consumer bankruptcy issues. Since 1992, his practice has been devoted to the representation of creditors in bankruptcy and state courts.
