Paul J. Yovanic is an associate in the Commercial Litigation Department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP’s Chicago office. His practice includes a variety of complex commercial litigation disputes, including those which involve restrictive covenants, non-compete and solicitation agreements, trade secrets, contract disputes, creditor rights, fraudulent transfer litigation, and business torts. Mr. Yovanic is also a member of the White Collar, Internal Investigations, and False Claims Team.
Mr. Yovanic represents and counsels clients through all phases and forms of litigation, including pre-litigation resolution, alternative dispute resolution, emergency injunctions, jury trials, and appeals. Before joining Seyfarth Shaw, Mr. Yovanic worked as a law clerk for a boutique title insurance defense firm. Mr. Yovanic also worked as a Summer Fellow at Seyfarth Shaw in 2016.
While in law school, he spent a semester as an extern with the legal unit at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Chicago office, handling litigation requests and subpoena enforcement. He was also a 711 licensed student-attorney and represented pro se litigants in E.E.O.C. mediations and federal court settlements through the Northern District of Illinois’ Settlement Assistance Program.
