Peter Follette is a registered patent agent who focuses his practice on patent prosecution and counseling in technologies relating to chemistry and life sciences. Prior to joining the firm, Peter was an Associate Professor and the Director of the Office of International Scientific Visibility at the University of Côte d’Azur (UCA) in Nice, France. Peter’s research at UCA focused on the regulation of polarized growth in Candida albicans as well as on the linguistic exploration of scientific texts such as research articles and patents.
His PhD research at the University of California, San Francisco addressed the control of the cell cycle during Drosophila melanogaster development.
Peter worked previously with the firm (formerly Townsend and Townsend and Crew) as a Patent Agent in the San Francisco, California office, and subsequently worked as a Patent Agent at Genset SA in Paris. He has also worked as a freelance patent consultant and as a science writer in France.
Peter is fluent in French.
