Mr. Peter A. Walker is a partner practicing employment and labor relations law with emphasis on wage and hour litigation, equal employment opportunity and wrongful discharge litigation, litigation to enforce employee covenants, ERISA litigation, litigation arising from complex corporate transactions, collective bargaining and arbitration, practice before the National Labor Relations Board, public sector labor relations and employment problems confronting the real estate industry.
Mr. Walker has advised numerous clients on the legal issues arising in union organizing campaigns and nation-wide “corporate campaigns” launched by unions against employers. He has also litigated numerous unfair labor practices and related issues arising from corporate campaigns.
Mr. Walker is also experienced in constitutional, civil service, education law litigation and employee relations problems confronting educational institutions. Prior to joining Seyfarth Shaw LLP, Mr. Walker was a partner in the Labor and Employment Department at Kaye, Scholer, LLP.
He has lectured and written on various topics of interest to both public and private employers, including wage and hour collective actions, executive compensation, The National Labor Relations Act, The Americans With Disabilities Act, sexual harassment, educational torts, wrongful discharge, academic freedom, student rights, employee privacy and school-based management.
