Priya Patel grew up in McDonough, Georgia. Her passion for law began at Eagles Landing High School where she was an active member of the Mock Trial team. After graduating high school in 2009, Priya went on to attend the University of Georgia and was named as a Presidential Scholar. She was also listed on the Dean’s list during her tenure at UGA.
She focused her time actively giving back to the community by participating in Relay for Life, Dance Marathon, Gamma Sigma Sigma (a community service and leadership sorority), and the annual Shop with a Bulldog program.
She has also exemplified leadership by being an active member of the Indian Cultural Exchange, a co-founder of Raaspect, and a liaison for the Student Alumni Association. Ms. Patel is also a member of The Young Lawyer’s Division Leadership Academy.
After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in History with honorable distinctions, Priya attended the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. During her time at Mercer, Priya was involved in the Association for Women Law Students, the International Law Students Association, Phi Alpha Delta, Phi Delta Phi, and was the editor-in-chief on Mercer Law Free Press. During her summers, Priya interned for Smith, Welch, Webb and White, and ultimately became an associate in 2017.
Priya is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Young Lawyer’s Division, American Bar Association, and Henry County Bar Association, and has been sworn-in to the Georgia Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of Georgia.
