Priya Merrill is an associate in the San Diego office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where she advises public and private companies in the consumer health, digital health, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and diagnostic industries.
Priya focuses on transactions where intellectual property assets, including information technology, biotechnology, and data, are the key drivers. These transactions include development collaborations, technology and data licensing, mergers and acquisitions, arrangements for supply, distribution, promotion and outsourcing, and other strategic relationships.
Prior to joining the firm in 2018, Priya was an associate in the intellectual property transactions group of Ropes & Gray in New York, where in addition to her current practice, she focused on transactions in the financial technology industry.
Earlier in her legal career, Priya was a law clerk to the Honorable Jon O. Newman of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and to the Honorable Robert E. Gerber of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
Prior to law school, Priya attended Boston University School of Medicine for two years and completed pre-clinical medical training. During her studies, Priya researched synapse ultrastructure in Dr. Kristen Harris’s lab.
