R. Mark Halligan has been recognized by Corporate LiveWire in 2017 as the Commercial Litigator of the Year in North America. Legal 500 rated Mr. Halligan as a foremost lawyer in trade secrets litigation in the United States. He has been inducted into The Legal 500 Hall of Fame.

Mr. Hallligan works as a partner at FisherBroyles, LLP. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Cincinnati in 1975. In 1978, he obtained his J.D. from the Northwestern University School of Law.
He is a successful trial lawyer, whose practice is focused on intellectual property litigation and complex commercial litigation, including antitrust and licensing issues.
Mr. Halligan is a former President of the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago (IPLAC) and currently serves as the General Editor of the Intellectual Property Law Handbook (2017) published by the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education (IICLE).
