
Rachel Bisi Lawlor joined Cozen O’Connor as an associate in the firm’s State Attorneys General Practice, where she represents clients under federal and state government investigations involving consumer protection, advertising, data breach, and environmental issues.
Prior to joining the firm, Rachel served in external affairs at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, aiding the Bureau in outreach to the Congress both in Washington, D.C. and district offices.
From 2010 to 2013 Rachel served in the Obama Administration’s Office of Legislative Affairs successfully assisting in the Senate confirmation of over 600 non-judicial Executive Branch nominees. Rachel began her career as a staffer in the Washington, D.C. office for then-Congressman Patrick J. Kennedy from Rhode Island where she primarily focused on education issues.
EXPERIENCE :
- Represented Wells Fargo Bank in negotiating a resolution between the bank and all 50 State Attorneys General and the District of Columbia, ending their investigations into various consumer claims regarding retail sales practices, auto collateral protection insurance and Guaranteed Asset/Auto Protection, and mortgage interest rate lock matters.
