Rachel Kaufman represents clients in a variety of sophisticated business litigation matters and works in Lash & Goldberg LLP’s Miami office. Her business litigation experience involves complex commercial transactions, large contract disputes, employment matters, class actions, securities, antitrust and health care operations and litigation.
In conjunction with her business litigation practice, Rachel advises health care clients regarding the litigation issues and nuances unique to the health care industry. Rachel’s health care experience includes medical staff and peer review matters, as well as Joint Commission and state and federal regulatory compliance.
She also represents clients in government investigations relating to health care fraud and abuse, and defending False Claims Act cases. She previously practiced as a business and health care litigator at a large Washington D.C. based law firm.
Rachel earned her law degree from the Boston University School of Law where she was also a staff editor for the American Journal of Law and Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Northwestern University where she majored in Communications and Philosophy.
