
Rachel S. Anderson’s practice focuses on matters of real property and water law, as well as Utah local and special service district law. She enjoys working on all kinds of property and water matters including title issues, deeds and easements, purchase agreements, and leases.
Specific to water law, Rachel has experience with reports of water right conveyance, change applications, general adjudications, federal reserved water rights, and water user disputes. Rachel also has experience in the broader area of natural resources law, including environmental, mining, and oil and gas law.
Regarding her local government practice, Rachel routinely works directly with the boards and management teams of local and special service districts throughout the State of Utah.
She has expertise in the Government Records Access and Management Act, the Open and Public Meetings Act, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, the Utah Election Code, and the Utah Procurement Code, among other laws applicable to local government.
Rachel’s district work includes, among other things, development agreements, construction projects, policies and procedures, boundary adjustments, easements, employment and labor matters, all manner of contracts, and litigation.
