Rahil Rather focuses his practice on commercial real estate transactions, with a particular emphasis in the areas of finance, acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures and real estate development. A significant portion of Rahil’s practice involves working with financial institutions on secured and unsecured lending transactions spanning a broad array of sectors, including healthcare companies, multi-family housing, hotels, office buildings, retail shopping centers and industrial properties throughout the U.S.
In addition, Rahil has experience in the acquisition, leasing and disposition of commercial real estate, as well as in real estate joint venture transactions throughout the country. This experience covers a variety of asset types, including apartment complexes, student housing, mixed-use, office buildings, hospitals and other types of healthcare and medical research facilities.
Rahil attended Vanderbilt University Law School, where he served as President of the Middle Eastern Law Students Association and Vice President of the South Asian Law Students Association. Prior to law school, Rahil studied Economics at Cornell University.
