TLTR: I paid Rahul $10,000 for him to give me a generic form and insult me.
Long story: Working with Rahul unfortunately has been the worst professional experience in my life. During the initial consultation, he was friendly and knowledgable, but that quickly degraded into an agonizing relationship. Lawyers are supposed to be an ally and a friend, but every interaction with him was like waging war, with him calling me lazy, untrustworthy, and deceiving. He even accused me of engineering failed credit card charges so that I can get free advice from him.
I paid him $10,000 as a retainer for immigration services but canceled four days later after realizing that Rahul’s firm was not equipped to handle in-house translation of documents and dealing directly with my company’s foreign staff.
When asked to return the unused portion of the retainer, he promised to send it within 30 days along with an invoice for billable hours. 5 months later, he has provided neither of these things. We have also been embroiled in a credit dispute ever since.
There are literally hundreds of lawyers in the city. Ask around your friends for a recommendation. I have dealt with numerous lawyers in the past, and none of them were as unprofessional or just flat out weird as Rahul. I think everyone deserves a calm, collected, and balanced lawyer, especially when handling legal issues.
Anywho, I can’t make a claim as to the credibility of the reviews on his personal website, but I will say that you should excise your own judgement about hundreds of positive reviews but zero negative ones.
Good luck out there and don’t fall for him like I did! “It’s a trap!”
Swift and successful handling of child custody case
In the past, I’ve hired a few different law firms. But I find he was the only one who was able to help me. He reviewed all of the issues in my child custody case. The handling of my case has been swift, professional, and successful.
Professional and helpful legal assistance
I just hired him but I feel confident so far with my decision. I get weekly letter updates. You have always been really professional and helpful and have shown incredible determination to help me with this situation. Thank you so much!
Finding hope with skilled and committed lawyer
My case was extremely problematic because I was an undocumented immigrant in America. I approached several lawyers and they declared it a dead-end case. But now I can see hope finally in the proactive, skilled, sympathetic, and committed lawyer.
A life-saving experience
This attorney is an expert in immigration law and his co-workers are also very skilled. I had bad experiences with other lawyers. But they won a complicated case. I thank this law firm for their drastic action in getting my petition approved.
Efficient legal assistance for permanent residence
I am a news reporter who works in New York. I hired him to assist me in seeking legal permanent residence in the United States. I was dreading the difficult and bureaucratic process. But due to his professionalism and efficiency, everything went quite well.
Scam
Rahul Manchanda is probably the evilest person I have ever met. I am ashamed to say I worked for him for several months. During that time, I saw over ten attorneys and over ten officer managers/paralegals come and go because Rahul Manchanda was an abusive scam artist. He averages approximately one bar complaint per week against him, one fee dispute per week against him, and two lawsuits against him per month. He doesn’t pay his rent, taxes, utilities, employees, or other bills.
He does not know the law and constantly lies. He hires young attorneys who are just learning and bills them at $350/hour while he pays them $15/hour. Sometimes, he would not even pay us because he didn’t have the money. He would trick us into overbilling and trick clients into paying more. People paid $40,000 for something any other attorney would do for $5000.00
He promised to pay health insurance for one of his pregnant employees, then right before she had her child, he canceled her policy retroactively, sticking her with over 10,000 in medical bills to save himself $1000.00. This is when I finally had enough and quit.
He is a criminal!!! He is currently suing ripoff report.com to try to hide his horrible actions. He also hired a company to put ripoff reports lower on a google search so people would not be able to find them when they searched for him.
Rahul Manchanda is a disgrace. Please stay away from him. If you have already hired him, please file fee disputes and complaints with the New York State Bar association and employ other attorneys to sue him. Follow the link below for more information on how to do this.
He is an embarrassment to the practice of law and wrote any positive comments you read here in a fake email. I do not know one client that was happy with his services; in fact, they would often beg me to leave the firm and handle their cases on my own. Good luck! Here is the link to bar complaints and fee disputes.
