Raymond M. Hernandez represents developers, private equity groups, and investors in the acquisition, development, and sale of real property in Florida. Ray’s practice focuses on representing developers in all phases of residential and commercial development, including land use and governmental affairs, contract negotiation, due diligence, land acquisitions and dispositions, and the formation of homeowners’ associations.
While in law school, Ray served as the John Hart Ely Fellow at the Center for Ethics and Public Service, an intern with the Investor Rights Clinic, and received several awards recognizing his academic excellence and pro bono service.
Prior to law school, Ray served as an adjunct professor and program director at Florida International University leading its Model United Nations Program to several best delegation awards and the highest ranking (5th overall) of any public university in North America.
Ray is a distinguished combat veteran and has served combat deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq as a member of the United States Army’s 82nd Airborne Division. Ray was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with Valor distinction for extraordinary heroism in combat and the Purple Heart Medal for sustaining multiple gunshot and shrapnel wounds.
Ray is a member of the Cuban-American Bar Association, Dade County Bar Association, NAIOP, and Orange County Bar Association.
