
Rebecca J. Newman is an associate with Venable’s Corporate Law Practice Group in Washington, DC. Her practice encompasses a wide range of corporate transactional matters that include Fortune 100 companies, international and regional entrepreneurs, privately held businesses, venture capitalists, underwriters, and investors of all descriptions.
Becca graduated magna cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center. While in law school, she served as managing editor for The Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law.
Becca served as a student attorney for the Georgetown University Law Center Domestic Violence Clinic, where she represented domestic violence victims at the D.C. Superior Court in temporary protection order and civil protection order hearings.
While attending law school, Becca worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable Rudolph Contreras at The United States District Court for the District of Columbia and for the Honorable Carol Ann Dalton at The Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
She earned a B.A. in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she graduated cum laude.
