Rebecca Sivitz

Rebecca J. Sivitz is an associate in the Labor & Employment Law Department. She has built a practice representing employers nationwide at all stages of complex employment litigation, developing special expertise in class and collective actions. Clients trust Rebecca to resolve their wage and hour, non-compete and discrimination disputes successfully and efficiently.

She represents employers in federal and state courts, before administrative agencies such as the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and before the American Arbitration Association.

Rebecca also practices traditional labor law. She has assisted clients in defeating unfair labor practice charges, responding to union organizing campaigns, developing collective bargaining strategies and confidently completing corporate transactions.

As part of her pro bono practice, Rebecca has secured restraining orders for numerous domestic violence victims.

In addition to her practice, Rebecca writes and speaks about employment law issues. She co-authored “An Overview Of The New Massachusetts Domestic Violence Leave Law,” for the Boston Bar Journal, and edited chapters in “Discovery in Alternative Forums,” for Massachusetts Discovery Practice and the Massachusetts Wage and Hours Handbook. She also co-presented a West LegalEdcenter webinar, “Massachusetts Enacts Domestic Violence Leave for Employees.”

While at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, she was a Arthur Littleton and H. Clayton Louderback Legal Writing Fellow, as well as the research editor of the Journal of Law and Social Change.
