Rebecca Jackson is an attorney licensed in the State of Colorado and admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court. She also has a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Denver.
While serving as the sole attorney in her own firm, Jackson Legal Services, P.C., Rebecca grew her expertise in the areas of Estate Planning, Business Law and Tax Controversy Resolution including Wills, Living Trusts, Supplemental Needs Trusts, Buy-Sell and Shareholder Agreements, Business Asset Purchase Agreements, Choice of Entity, Lease and other Contract Drafting and Review, United States Tax Court Petitions, Private Letter Ruling, Offers in Compromise and Reasonable Cause Waivers of Tax Penalties.
Rebecca earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (with an additional emphasis in Marketing) magna cum laude from the University of Southern California, and graduated with her J.D. and LL.M. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Rebecca participated in the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic at the law school specializing in the resolution of taxpayer controversies with the IRS and the State of Colorado.
Prior to attending law school, Rebecca served as a CPA and provided financial accounting and management services in industries including telecommunications, healthcare, and construction and to several not for profit entities. She served on the audit team for Deloitte in California and performed both audit and tax services for Waugh & Goodwin CPA’s in Colorado Springs.
Rebecca and her husband Scott have six children, including a daughter-in-law and a son-in-law, and are the proud grandparents of two granddaughters. Although only 2 members of the family were born in Colorado, they are a true Colorado family embracing the outdoors and the wonderful resources of our beautiful state.
