A former member of the Alabama Army National Guard (Captain, Armor) and a Desert Shield veteran, Richard represents veterans in claims for service-connected disability before the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
This includes representation before the Regional Office, The Board of Veterans Appeals (BVA) and the US Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Representation includes claims for PTSD, Agent Orange and Service-connected physical and mental health claims. In addition, he practices in the areas of Bankruptcy Law and Social Security.
Richard is a graduate of the University of Alabama and the Alabama School of Law, and while there a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. Richard and his wife Debra have five children. They attend the First United Methodist Church of Attalla, Alabama.
