Originally from Illinois, Richard has an undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Alaska at Fairbanks (1976). His law degree was received from Rutgers University at Camden, New Jersey, in 1981.
Upon graduating from Law School, he returned to Alaska, where he has practiced law since 1981. Richard’s background as a litigator gives him a unique ability to assist business owners and professionals with their business succession and estate planning needs.
He is a frequent speaker on estate planning topics, both in Alaska and nationwide. Professional organizations, banks, brokerage firms, and community organizations have benefited from his entertaining teaching style.
