
Richard Elliott Tapp’s practice focuses on representing public and private companies, as well as private equity funds, in connection with a wide variety of corporate, transactional and strategic advisory matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate governance, activist defense and other strategic initiatives.
Prior to joining King and Spalding, Elliott was an attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore and Schulte Roth & Zabel in New York, and a secondee to the Hong Kong office of a leading global investment firm focused on opportunistic investments.
He serves on several boards of directors, including the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the Georgian Chamber Players, and as an Adjunct Professor at Emory University School of Law.
