Richard Wilder Theibert

Richard W. Theibert, a shareholder, is a native of Akron, Ohio. He practices in the firm’s Real Estate Group, concentrating on business law and real property. He graduated with honors from Johns Hopkins University and received his law degree from New York University School of Law. He is the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for Family Law and is a Tishman Fellow. He was a professor at the University of Baltimore School of Law and is currently a professor in Property Law and Advanced Property Law at Birmingham School of Law, where he has been selected as Professor of the Year for eighteen consecutive years.

He is admitted to the Maryland Bar Association and the United States District Court of Maryland; the Alabama State Bar; the United States District Court, Middle District of Alabama, and the United States Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit. He has served as chair of the Birmingham Housing Development Corporation and as President of Alabama Real Estate Lawyers.

Mr. Theibert was Commissioner of the Southside/Avondale softball league and has been the head softball coach at Indian Springs School for the past nine seasons.
