Richelle D. Moore

Richelle D. Moore attended James Madison University where she​ received​ her bachelor’s degree in 1996, graduating magna cum laude, with a major in English and a minor in Political Science. In 1999, Richelle obtained her law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law.

During her time at the University of Tennessee College of Law, Richelle was a recipient of the Kolwyck Equal Access to Justice Academic Scholarship and the William M. Leech, Jr. Public Service Prize for Public Interest Achievement.

After graduating from law school, Richelle returned to her native Fredericksburg to practice law. Her primary areas of concentration include estate planning and administration and guardianships and conservatorships.

Richelle has been named as a member of the “Legal Elite” by Virginia Business Magazine and named a “Rising Star” by Richmond Magazine’s Super Lawyers section. Richelle is a member of the Virginia State bar and the Fredericksburg Area Bar Association (Secretary 2000).

Richelle is also a past member of the Board of Governors of the Virginia State Bar’s Young Lawyers Conference and previously served on the Spotsylvania County Court Improvement of Foster Care and Adoption Team and the Spotsylvania County Domestic Violence Task Force.

In addition to her professional affiliations, Richelle is involved in a number of community organizations. She serves on the Board of the Educational Foundation of Germanna Community College and is a charter member of the Community Foundation of the Rappahannock River Region’s Womens and Girls Fund.

She is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Rappahannock Council Against Sexual Assault, the Board of Directors of the Rappahannock Big Brothers Big Sisters (President 2008-2009; First Vice President, 2007-2008; Second Vice President, 2006-2007; Secretary 2005-2006), the Board of Directors of the Spotsylvania Education Foundation, the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of the Rappahannock River Region (Secretary 2010-2011), and the Board of Directors of Thrive the Healing Center.
