Ritchie Thomas has a special concentration in international transactions and international trade litigation and regulation, including antidumping, countervailing duty, Section 201, GSP and other import related proceedings; export controls; foreign trade zones; customs and tariff laws and regulations; and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).

He practices before the US International Trade Commission (USITC); Import Administration and Bureau of Industry and Security of the US Department of Commerce (DOC); Office of the United States Trade Representative; US Department of State’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DTC); US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC); Bureau of Customs and Border Protection; Foreign Trade Zones Board; US Court of International Trade; US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit; and various other government agencies, federal courts and committees of the United States Congress.

Ritchie served as staff counsel in the Office of General Counsel of the United States International Trade Commission. He is author of the column titled “On Capitol Hill” published in Commerce Germany, AmCham Germany’s official publication. He often speaks and writes articles concerning the international trade field. Ritchie is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association.
