Rivers S. Stilwell

Rivers Stilwell is the leader of the Greenville litigation team, overseeing a team of more than 25 people. Mr. Stilwell practices in the areas of business and commercial litigation, public procurement, water and sewer utilities, zoning, land use and development, and construction.

Experience:

• Has trial, appellate and arbitration experience involving business disputes, financial institutions, computer software, special purpose districts, product liability, and construction
• Represents the regional sewer authority as its General Counsel handling procurement, government contracting, FOIA, corporate governance and litigation
• Administrative law experience in  bid protests and contract disputes at the state and local level, zoning disputes, permit denials and appeals
• Regulatory experience appearing before the SC Department of Labor Licensing and Regulation and the SC Public Service Commission

• President of Project Care, a HUD funded program serving the chronically homeless
• Treasurer and Founding Member, The Haynsworth-Perry American Inn of Court
