Rob Harrington advises and represents employers in a broad range of traditional labor and employment law matters arising under federal and state laws. Rob regularly defends employers in complex wage and hour class actions and representative actions brought under California’s unique Labor Code Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA).

These cases have included various types of claims, such as allegations that employees were not provided legally compliant meal and rest periods, received noncompliant wage statements, worked off-the-clock, or were misclassified as exempt employees or independent contractors.

Rob also represents employers in single and multi-plaintiff lawsuits alleging discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. For his clients, he has negotiated favorable settlement agreements, obtained summary judgment and dismissal of claims, and defeated class certification in wage-and-hour class actions.

During law school, Rob was senior technical editor and assistant managing editor for the Harvard Law and Policy Review. He received the Dean’s Award for excellence in the Legal Writing, Research, and Advocacy Program and interned for the Hon. Carol W. Hunstein, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Georgia.

Rob studied music and theatre at New York University. Prior to attending law school, he worked on various artistic projects throughout the country.
