Chicago Lawyer Magazine reported that the $8,500,000.00 medical malpractice settlement which Mr. Phillips secured on behalf of an eight year-old boy with cerebral palsy, ranked within the top ten settlements for an individual in the State of Illinois. Mr. Phillips has been featured by CBS News in a multi-part series reporting on medical negligence.
In addition to Mr. Phillips’ Chicago television news appearances on NBC. ABC, CBS. FOX. and WGN, he has also been featured on the NBC Today Show with Matt Lauer and CNN to discuss the events surrounding the Chicago E2 Nightclub disaster. Mr. Phillips was the only Chicago lawyer to preserve critical evidence on behalf of the twenty one people who suffered wrongful deaths at the nightclub.
Mr. Phillips has also appeared in a multi-part NBC Unit 5 Investigation exposing the unsafe practices of the railroad industry at railroad crossings. A Reader’s Digest Magazine cover story featured his case against Amtrak, in which a husband and father was killed at an unguarded dangerous railroad crossing.
