Robert Chisholm, Ph.D.’s practice includes representing clients small and large in the prosecution of domestic and international patent-related matters in the pharmaceutical, life science, medical diagnostic and chemical arts.
Robert’s practice also includes infringement and validity analyses, due diligence analyses of patent portfolios involved in mergers and acquisitions in addition to the advising and drafting of intellectual property (IP) agreements.
Prior to joining Shook, Robert worked at an IP-focused law firm in the area, and before that, clerked for the University of Kansas Center for Technology Commercialization, where he performed prior art searches and drafted patentability opinions and licensing agreements.
Robert has over nine years of research experience, including as a post-doctoral researcher at the Stowers Institute for Medical Research, where he performed biochemical research on the relationship between eukaryotic gene expression and mitosis.
As a graduate student, Robert performed biochemical and biophysical research on a number of macromolecular complexes.
