Robert G. Gucwa is a corporate associate and a member of the Finance Group and the Aviation Practice Group. His practice focuses on domestic and cross-border finance transactions, particularly in the aviation and private equity industries. Mr. Gucwa has represented airlines, leasing companies and lenders in a wide range of secured and unsecured debt and capital market financings in the aviation sector, including mortgage, back-leveraged, sale-leaseback, leveraged-lease, pre-delivery payment (PDP), corporate bond, enhanced equipment trust certificates (EETC) and asset-backed securitization (ABS) financings.
He has also represented leasing companies in portfolio sale and acquisition transactions and airlines and leasing companies in operating lease transactions.
In the private equity space, Mr. Gucwa has represented investment funds in capital call and NAV facilities.
Mr. Gucwa joined Debevoise in 2017. Prior to Debevoise, he was a finance associate at a large global law firm. Mr. Gucwa received a J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2011, where he was a staff editor for the N.Y.U. Journal of Legislation & Public Policy. He received a B.S. and a B.A. magna cum laude from the University of California, San Diego in 2007.
