Having successfully represented prominent developers and home builders, Robert M. Poppell maintains a vibrant real estate development and transactional practice. Robert’s diverse experience in the real estate sector gives him a keen awareness in proactively addressing his clients’ concerns and paving the way for a successful outcome.
He represents developers of large scale, mixed-use planned developments, as well as residential home builders, in connection with acquisitions, sales, planning, operations, and governance structures for phased and jointly developed communities; developers of neighborhood to regional shopping centers; and end-user, out parcel, and retail purchasers in connection with large scale expansion programs, including the financing transactions related to all of these projects.
Robert’s recent significant representations include the acquisition and development work associated with a number of mixed-use projects valued at several million dollars, including commercial, apartment, single-family, and condominium components.
Robert has previously completed acquisitions of an approximately 4,000 acre proposed large scale mixed-use DRI in Sumter County, Florida, and an 1,800 acre existing mixed use DRI in Volusia County, Florida.
He also served as lead transactional counsel for a state-wide bank branch site acquisition program involving hundreds of sites over a several year time frame, and numerous state-wide finished lot and raw land acquisitions for single family residential development.
