In 1988, Mr. Saunders was admitted to Hofstra University School of Law, in New York. While attending law school, Mr. Saunders worked as a legal intern with the United States Attorney’s Office in New York City, and was awarded a Juris Doctorate degree in December of 1990.
He was sworn in as an attorney in May 1991. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Saunders was offered a position with a large multi-office law firm practicing insurance defense litigation, representing doctors, nurses, hospitals and nursing homes in medical malpractice and nursing negligence claims.
In his fifth year of practice, Mr. Saunders was offered a position with what is now the largest personal injury firm in the United States, exclusively representing injured clients, victims, and their families in medical malpractice litigation and serious personal injury cases.
After working “for the people” for more than 10 years, and running his own practice for another five, Mr. Saunders joined The Pendas Law Firm in the beginning of 2017, as managing attorney of the firm’s state-wide Medical Malpractice department.
The department represents injured victims and their families in cases of medical malpractice, wrongful death claims, serious personal injury matters, and a select number of nursing home abuse claims and Qui Tam cases, a/k/a “Whistle Blower” cases. The department is highly selective, and intentionally maintains a limited number of cases in order to provide quality representation and obtain exceptional results for our clients.
