With regard to business and commercial litigation, Ms. Robin Krystle Love has significant experience in the area of contractual disputes, both defending and pursuing such claims successfully and defeating many such complaints at the motion level. Ms. Love is knowledgeable on the legal issues surrounding breaches of contract, contract drafting, conflicts between businesses, gas station operations, and dispossessory proceedings.
Ms. Love has also represented both individuals and local and national organizations in both state and federal court actions involving fraud claims, trade secrets, and various consumer protection statutes and mortgage and foreclosure statues.
She has dealt with alleged violations of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (“RICO”), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (“FDCPA”), the Truth-In-Lending Act (“TILA”), and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (“RESPA”).
With regard to family law, Ms. Love has experience in a variety of areas including divorce, equitable division, child support, alimony, modifications, contempt, legitimation, and actions involving the Family Violence Act.
Ms. Love’s business litigation background provides the experience and ability necessary to analyze financial and other business documents for her family law cases, particularly those involving large marital estates or family businesses in need of equitable division. Ms. Love approaches her family law cases with the goal of balancing the legal demands of the case and the emotional and financial needs of her client.
Although Ms. Love strongly believes that the most emotionally and financially effective means of resolving family law matters is through a collaborative approach, she is ready and willing whenever necessary to utilize fierce debate skills in and out of the courtroom to advocate for her client.
Prior to joining Meriwether & Tharp, LLC, Ms. Love worked for a mid-sized law firm, during which time she researched a plethora of legal issues, made numerous court appearances and drafted various motions for complex commercial litigation cases.
Ms. Love graduated in the top 6% of her law school class in 2009 from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, where she served on the school’s law review staff and mock trial team. During her time in law school and immediately thereafter she was fortunate to intern at the Cobb County District Attorney’s office and the Dekalb County Public Defender’s office where she participated in appeals, arraignments, jury selection and extensively observed the justice system in action.
Ms. Love also received hands-on experience in mediation, negotiation and client counseling in several law school courses. Ms. Love also completed the requirements for mediator certification in Georgia.
