Rodney A. Knight

Rodney A. Knight is an attorney having extensive experience of four decades and practicing in Scottsdale, Arizona. He specializes in practice areas of business, real estate, and collection law. He founded his solo practice firm in 1990 and has since served his clients to their satisfaction.

He has represented numerous clients in the purchase and sale of trade, helped people with antidotes to a variety of real estate matters, and done collections work as well as dispute resolution concerning both business and real estate issues.

He also holds the license of a real estate broker in Arizona and is capable of representing his clients in the purchase of a business with no considerable additional cost.

Under business law, he routinely helps his clients with the formation of business entities such as LLC, Corporation, and others; obtaining business financing; drafting contracts and agreements like Customer and vendor relationship agreements, shareholder agreements, buy-sell agreements, etc.; business acquisitions and sales, reorganizations, and dissolution; prosecuting and defending lawsuits, settling claims and collecting money due to the business.

Rodney Knight deals in a wide range of real estate matters including residential and commercial real estate, purchase contracts, leases, mortgages and deeds of trusts, other real estate liens, real estate financing, short sales & foreclosures, anti-deficiency statute, real estate disputes & litigation, collecting & enforcing real estate claims, Lis pendens, and HOA issues.

He completed his Bachelor’s of Science from the Michigan State University in 1971. He went on to attend the University of Chicago Law School and earned his Juris Doctorate in the year 1975.

He started working with a highly reputed law firm based in Michigan and represented public and private business clients on a wide range of matters. He focused on corporate organization and finance including the purchase and sale of businesses, while working there.

Several publicly-traded companies and organizations got impressed by his dedicated work at the law firm and hired him as the General Counsel to apply his expertise and thoughtfulness in their business organizations, as well as to execute the purchase of businesses, and corporate finance.

Rod Knight went on to open his private practice, first in Michigan and later in Arizona with Rodney Knight, Attorney at Law since 1998. He is an Emeritus Member of the State Bar of Michigan, and a member of the State Bar of Arizona, the American Bar Association, and the State Bar of Michigan.
