Roger Clayton is a member of the firm’s Litigation, Privacy and Information Security, and Health Care practice groups. He represents for-profit and non-profit entities in complex business matters.
A significant part of Mr. Clayton’s practice includes advising private and public academic institutions, as well as defending healthcare providers in matters of professional liability. Mr. Clayton is an accomplished trial attorney with a wide-range of litigation experience including personal injury, health care, employment contract, business and education law.
In one case, Mr. Clayton defended a Federal jury trial involving purported civil rights violations asserted against a school police officer. The trial resulted in a unanimous verdict for Mr. Clayton’s clients. He has also won numerous dispositive motions in favor of schools, hospitals and product manufacturers.
As Chair of the California Western School of Law Alumni Board’s Continuing Legal Education Committee, and a member of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers’ Leadership Development Committee, Mr. Clayton volunteers much of his time to the local legal community.
Prior to joining the firm in 2015, Mr. Clayton attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and California Western School of Law, where he earned the prestigious United States Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy Highest Merit Scholarship.
In his free time, Mr. Clayton is an avid traveler who loves sports and spending time outdoors with his family and friends.
