Rucha Desai earned her J.D. from New York University School of Law, where she was a staff editor for Moot Court and co-chair of the South Asian Law Students Association. While at NYU, she worked as a research assistant to the esteemed Professor Adam M. Samaha.
Prior to law school, Rucha worked for U.S. Senator Kirsten E. Gillibrand as her deputy director for constituent affairs. In addition to the wide range of constituent issues she handled, she was the Senator’s point person for Hurricane Irene and Hurricane Sandy, and was the outreach coordinator for South Asian constituent groups.
