Russell J. Collins’ litigation practice experience spans a variety of legal areas, including securities litigation, complex commercial litigation, bankruptcy litigation, internal corporate investigations and government investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and various State Attorney Generals.
Mr. Collins has more than ten years of civil litigation experience, including but not limited to, trial practice, pre-trial motion practice, administrative proceedings, deposition practice, legal research and extensive pre-trial discovery management.Mr. Collins has also represented defendants in State criminal proceedings in Texas and Connecticut.
At Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, Mr. Collins’ practice is largely focused upon assisting clients to manage and effectively use electronic discovery techniques and strategies in a cost-efficient manner. Mr. Collins leverages his wider litigation experience in conjunction with an expansive knowledge of litigation support technology to identify key evidence in support of existing litigation strategies and to develop legal arguments.
