Ryan Kenrick’s practice focuses on representing national, regional and local clients in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including land acquisition, development, leasing, financing and dispositions. His goal is to assist his clients throughout the entire life of their development projects.
Ryan has extensive experience negotiating purchase agreements, dealing with complex title issues, negotiating leases and managing all facets of commercial real estate closings. He has assisted his clients in the acquisition and disposition of mixed-use development projects, office parks, shopping centers, golf courses and investment properties throughout the region, and he has worked with state and local government agencies with respect to economic development projects.
Ryan has also developed a practice representing both institutional and non-traditional commercial lenders focusing on structuring loans and coordinating loan workouts. Understanding that Hampton Roads’ ports are the economic drivers for the Commonwealth of Virginia, Ryan has developed extensive relationships with the area’s port operators and vendors.
In 2016, Ryan was named to Inside Business’ Top 40 Under 40. He was also inducted in the CIVIC Institute’s class of 2016. Ryan is a member of the Virginia Bar Association, the Hampton Road Association of Commercial Real Estate and the Virginia Maritime Association. In the community, Ryan is the president and chairman of the Maison Fortune Orphanage Foundation and co-founder of the Tap! Tap! craft beer festival in Chesapeake, Virginia.
Ryan received his Juris Doctor degree from the William & Mary School of Law. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia, where he received the Wright Academic Scholarship.
